How Can I Help You Shine Online?

You expect to get results from your web site … more enquiries, more customers, and more sales. After all, it was supposed to work like this:

You build a web site, and the world will come knocking at your door.

Too often few web site visitors came. Even fewer got past the home page.

Does this sound familiar?

The Challenge: The Ten Second Decision

When visitors arrive at your site, they decide in only ten-seconds * to stay, or jump to another site.

If visitors do not immediately feel your site is the "right place" to answer their questions, they will click away; perhaps to your competitor's site. After all there are billions of choices online.

The Solution: Focus on Web Content

To win the "ten-second" test, and get visitors to actually read your web page, every word, every picture, every design element needs to center on their interests and needs; and clearly show how your business can help.

They want to know fast "what is in it for them." Otherwise they move on.

My "Content First" Approach to Web Design

My approach is to focus on what truly drives your web site's success - the content - what visitors read, watch and listen to.

I take the time to understand your business, your customers, and your key messages. From that foundation, we identify the content that will capture and keep your visitor's attention. Design elements like colours, graphics, menus and buttons are created to complement the content, not compete with it.

Content Creation

To ensure the success of your web site, I will work closely with you to plan and create your web site content. I do more than just design a pretty, but empty, "frame" of a web site. I will actually do the writing, if you don't want to!

Focus on "Content First" and Get Results

With a content first approach, your entire website will:

  • help visitors get what they want (e.g. information, advice, purchase)
  • encourage them to do what you want (e.g. signup for your newsletter, place an order, contact you)
